Julie Nichols is a Nurse Clinician working in childhood cancer survivorship at Children's Wisconsin, intheir Next Steps Survivorship Program as a Nurse Educator and Coordinator and member on theChildren’s Wisconsin Fertility Team. She helped develop and coordinate the novel Bridge to TransitionProgram that helps patients and families as they transition from active treatment into post-therapy care.She is active in the survivorship community locally and nationally through working groups such as theWisconsin Cancer Collaborative (WCC), Pediatric Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship ECHOProgram through the American Cancer Society, The Pediatric and Adolescent Committee (PAC) throughthe Oncofertility Consortium, the Wisconsin Association for Pediatric Oncology Hematology Nurses(WAPHON) and the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Clinical Translation Task Force for provider andpatient communication. Julie is on the planning committee for a local survivorship conference held inMilwaukee every other year. She has completed the ECHO training program - Enriching CommunicationSkills for Health Professionals in Oncofertility and has 13 years of experience in PediatricHematology/Oncology.
