Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator in ED
Arkansas Children's Hospital
Kris Dunlap is the pharmacy clinical coordinator in the Emergency Department at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Physics Education from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 1998. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from UAMS in 2006, Kris began working at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She completed a Masters in Clinical Toxicology from the University of Florida in 2024. Kris created her own position in the Emergency Department—at the time, there were no other pharmacists working in the ED anywhere in Arkansas. Over the last 15 years, she has expanded pharmacy services to the Arkansas Children’s Emergency Department. Kris loves the diverse and ever-changing environment that the Emergency Department provides. She was recognized as UAMS COP Preceptor of the Year in 2016 and 2022. Dr. Dunlap was awarded Arkansas Children’s Medical Residents “Friend of Residents” award in 2021. And in 2023, Kris was recognized as a Distinguished Preceptor by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
