Krysta Spangler has been a pediatric hematology oncology nurse for over 10 years and has served the Pediatric Hem/Onc Unit at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital as a bedside nurse, clinical staff leader, and now as a clinical practice nurse leader. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte and is certified as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) and Pediatric Nurse (CPN). Her passions include integrating practice change to promote the highest level of quality and safety and inspiring staff nurses to drive performance improvement outcomes. In 2024 she led the team in achieving the In Safe Hands Award through the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania. She was the president of the local Central PA APHON chapter for 4 years before moving to the immediate past-president role this year.
