I have been a nurse for 41 years. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are from the University of Pennsylvania I started as a staff nurse at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC, then became a CNS for pediatric critical care at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. I have been the Manager of Patient Family Education at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for 28 years, creating their first Family Learning Center, a positive learning environment where families can come to learn the skills they need to care for their child's healthcare needs at home.
