Lindsey is the Clinical Nurse Educator on the inpatient Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she educates staff on new policies, procedures and protocols, orients new staff, implements change, teaches unit-specific courses, coordinates competencies and training, instructs the APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course, and instructs a CPHON preparation course, among many other things.
Lindsey has been a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse for almost fourteen years, has worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital for eleven years, and has been in her current position as the Clinical Nurse Educator for nine years. Lindsey has been a member of APHON for her entire nursing career. She has attended and presented in past APHON conferences. She has been a member of her local APHON chapter for over ten years and has been a board member of her local APHON chapter for most of that time. Lindsey is a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), a Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON) and a Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN). She is an APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Instructor and a developer/instructor of her local CPHON Preparation Course.
