Nurse Leader
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
With 20 years of nursing experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I am a dedicated pediatric hematology and oncology nurse. I have spent over 12 years providing specialized care on the pediatric hematology oncology unit, including bone marrow transplant (BMT), hematology oncology, post-operative recovery, and end-of-life care. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to address the complex needs of critically ill children and their families.
Transitioning to leadership roles, I served as a nursing supervisor for six years, overseeing the pediatric hematology oncology unit, PICU, and pediatric ambulatory care center. In this role, I focused on improving care coordination, staff development, and patient outcomes. I am now honored to serve as a nurse leader for both the inpatient pediatric hematology oncology unit and the PICU, leading a team of over 100 direct reports.
My leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, evidence-based practices, and continuous improvement. I am passionate about driving quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient safety, and fostering staff development. I am committed to advancing patient care protocols, reducing variability, and promoting holistic approaches to pediatric cancer treatment to ensure the highest standards of care for both patients and staff.
