Lorena Segovia Weber is a nurse from the University of Chile, trained in HSCT in Curitiba, Brazil, and certified in Pediatric Hemato-Oncology by the ONCC. She previously served as the Director of the Latin American Center for Pediatric Oncology Nursing Education, a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital initiative, in collaboration with Dr. Luis Calvo Mackenna Hospital in Santiago, Chile, aiming to enhance pediatric oncology nursing education across Latin America.
Currently, she is a Program Coordinator in the St. Jude Global Nursing Department. She was also a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Spanish Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Subcommittee, where she played a key role in introducing the Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider and Instructor Course in Latin American countries.
Lorena has received several prestigious awards, including the APHON Patricia Greene Leadership Award (2016) and the APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Instructor of the Year Award (2019). She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the SIOP Nursing Network (2024-2027).
