Dr. Phelan specializes in pediatric blood and marrow transplantation/cellular therapy for the treatment of malignant and non-malignant disorders. She is the director of the Next Steps Survivorship Program at Children's Wisconsin and also serves as the Scientific Director of the Morbidity, Recovery and Survivorship Working Committee at the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). She has authored multiple manuscripts and textbook chapters focused on blood and marrow transplant/cellular therapies as well as late effects and survivorship care following treatment. Dr. Phelan received her MD and MPH at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Her training in Pediatrics was completed at the University of Washington/Seattle Children's, followed by a Hematology/Oncology/BMT fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She joined the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2016.
