Alexandra Langbaum is a Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering, She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University. Throughout her 15 year nursing career, Alexandra has worked as a pediatric inpatient nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, providing compassionate care to pediatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant patients. Additionally, she has served as a nurse practitioner at Weill Cornell Medicine, specializing in the care of both adult and pediatric patients with bleeding disorders.
Passionate about advancing nursing education and development, Alexandra pursued a role in nursing education at Memorial Sloan Kettering where she has been a Nursing Professional Development Specialist for the past six years. In this role she is committed to enhancing the skills and knowledge of the department of nursing and covers the educational needs of the inpatient pediatric units to help ensure highest standards of nursing practice and patient care.
