Colleen Nixon, MSN, RN, CPHON, NPD-BC, worked at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) from 1997 to 2024. She had many roles at BCH, including staff nurse, clinical coordinator, patient/family educator, and, for more than 20 years, the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nursing Professional Development Specialist. Colleen is an active member and volunteers with APHON at the local, national, and international levels. She has published multiple articles and contributed to various texts. She has presented at conferences locally, nationally, and internationally. She is presently the chair of the Global Outreach Committee.
