I have been Pediatric Nurse for 39 years, working in Pediatric ICU, Hematology/Oncology, Cardiac, Operating/Recovery Room, Cath Lab and general pediatrics. I've worked as a bedside nurse, an educator, nurse manager and now as a CNS. I've seen tremendous growth and have had the privilege of caring for many little heroes. Pediatric patients inspire me to continue to grow and strive to do my best. I am very enthusiastic about the growth of pediatric oncology nursing, both in the treatment realm as well as the hands on care that continues to define our roles as Pediatric Hematology/Oncology nurses. I have witnessed significant changes in pedaitric nursing and feel that nursing as a profession is maturing as we continue to promote evidence based practice, partner with our medical collegues and seek to promote health and healing.
