Claire McCollom is a pediatric Hematology/Oncology Staff Nurse II at Boston Children’s Hospital. With extensive experience as a bedside nurse, Claire plays a pivotal role in planning and executing inpatient research studies. She also serves as the oncology nurse subject matter expert (SME) for the development and validation of chemotherapy treatment plan orders within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Claire is a Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON®) and holds several additional certifications, including Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS®), Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider, and CITI® research training.
A passionate advocate for staff support, Claire has been a HART coach since its inception in 2019. She has co-authored publications and presented at numerous conferences, emphasizing the value and effectiveness of the HART program for staff on the Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplant units.
To further enhance her coaching abilities, Claire has attained Reiki Master status, is nationally certified as a Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT®), and holds certifications in clinical relaxation massage and aromatherapy.
