Kristen has over 17 years nursing experience in pediatric hematology/oncology and critical care. As a nurse practitioner at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia she specializes in the care and management of pediatric patients with solid tumors including bone and soft tissue sarcomas, neuroblastoma, liver and kidney tumors, and germ cell tumors. She is part of the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in the pediatric acute care nurse practitioner program, oncology concentration. She also serves as a Core Group Nurse in the bone tumor subcommittee for the Children’s Oncology Group. Kristen is a published author/presenter who enjoys educating students, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and members of the interprofessional team about solid tumors, the adverse effects of chemotherapy, and the role of the NP in the care of pediatric oncology patients.
