Angie has been working in pediatric hematology/oncology for 28 years. She received her Master’s Degree, Clinical Nurse specialist, in 2017 and is currently the hematology/oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist at CHOC Hospital, Orange County. Her focus is on unit and house-wide quality. Angie has led initiatives around CLABSI (hospital acquired and ambulatory), staff well-being, sepsis screening, and safe chemotherapy administration. She is active in APHON both nationally and at a local level. She was the 2019 recipient of the APHON Evidence based practice grant. In 2020 was granted the CHOC president and Board of Directors 2020 President’s recognition award for successfully co-leading her hospital’s USP implementation, and received the same award in 2022 for her work around ambulatory CLABSI.
