System Advanced Practice Nurse

Cate is a System Advanced Practice Nurse in pediatrics at M Health Fairview. She has been a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2019. She began her career as a pediatric bone marrow transplant nurse in 2014. In her current role as a system APRN at the University of Mineesota Masonic Children's Hospital, she works on the practice and education team to help improve nursing practice, update our practices based on best practices in literature and help lead our system initiatives to decrease HACs and SSEs. She helped created and now co-leads our Pediatric CLABSI Crew that has pushed our dial in our journey to zero patients harmed with CLABSI. She also co-leads a newly created Pediatric Quality Day that is was created in an effort to push the dial on other HACs like we have with CLABSI.
