Virginia Lugo is a Clinical Manager in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and in Pediatric Palliative Medicine at Children’s Hospital Colorado where she has served in a leadership role for almost 12 years. Virginia obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Denver School of Nursing in 2007 and her Master Degree in Leadership from Regis University in 2017. Virginia’s passion for pediatric hematology and oncology nursing has driven her focus and work to support nursing practice through her leadership role. Virginia recently received her Green Belt Certification in lean six sigma process improvement through Children’s Hospital Colorado. This training has given her the knowledge to mentor nursing projects within the CCBD to improve nursing practices and ultimately the care we provide to the families we serve.
