Melissa Ruiz completed her graduate education at West Virginia University. Her clinical background is in pediatric oncology and stem cell transplant. She has eight years of combined RN and APRN experience in caring for pediatric patients in Hematology, Oncology, and Stem cell transplant. Her oncology knowledge and experiences extend from inpatient care to outpatient coordination, to survivorship surveillance, and the performance of therapeutic procedures. Currently, she works as part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to oncology patients in the inpatient setting at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
