Dr. Kathleen Capone brings over 40 years of nursing and education expertise, specializing in curriculum design, leadership, and faculty development. She holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership, and is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). As Academic Director at Nurses International, Dr. Capone leads the development of open-access BSN courses designed to meet the needs of global nursing education, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. She also consults internationally on health education programs across regions including Guatemala, Ghana, Grenada, South Africa, China, and the Middle East.
An experienced online curriculum development expert, Dr. Capone has designed and taught courses in undergraduate and graduate nursing and healthcare administration programs, with a strong focus on learner success. Her leadership includes mentoring faculty, designing and implementing professional development initiatives, and guiding global collaborations to create high-quality, culturally relevant nursing education resources.
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Capone is deeply committed to volunteer service. She has led mission trips to Guatemala, contributed to orphanage construction, co leads a weekly community Bible Study for seniors, and teaches English as a second language in her community. As a member of her local Nurses Honor Guard, she provides support to families and communities, reflecting her dedication to compassionate care. Through her work at Nurses International and beyond, Dr. Capone integrates her deep faith, leadership, and academic expertise to empower nurses worldwide—advancing a holistic approach to nursing education that nurtures both professional excellence and compassionate service.
