Angèle Léger has been a Registered Nurse since 2012. She began her nursing career in pediatric oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto that same year. Angèle has been a member of the Onc/Heme/BMT team at B.C. Children's Hospital since 2017 when she relocated to Vancouver. She is known for her leadership roles as a Clinical Nurse Educator, Provincial Lead for the Oncology/Hematology Network, and currently as the Clinical Operations Manager for the Inpatient Onc/Hem/BMT unit at B.C. Children’s Hospital. Angèle graduated from the School of Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University and also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a double major in Integrative Biology and Health Studies. In 2021, she completed a Master of Health Leadership and Policy in Clinical Education from UBC. Angèle is committed to promoting an outstanding patient and family experience by developing and supporting high-performance teams while ensuring high-quality, safe, and equitable patient care. As an uninvited white settler working and living on the Coast Salish territory, she strives to use her positionality to uphold Truth and Reconciliation and work toward decolonizing health care. She is dedicated to ensuring program planning and service evaluation meet the needs of these specific patient populations in a way that is culturally safe and inclusive.
