Lindy Finch BSN, RN, CPHON, NPD-BC began her healthcare journey with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mississippi State University in 2014. Motivated to provide direct patient care, she earned her BSN in 2018 and started her nursing career as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse on the Intermediate Care Unit at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2021, she transitioned to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, where she remained at the bedside until stepping into her current role as the unit’s Nursing Professional Development Practitioner in 2023.
Lindy is certified in both Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing (CPHON) and Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC). She is passionate about education, professional growth, and supporting nurses in delivering safe, high-quality care. Her work includes leading onboarding and orientation, supporting Shared Governance councils, managing competencies, contributing to unit and institutional educational initiatives, and playing an active role in the PTAP-accredited Nurse Residency Program. She also serves on multiple hospital committees focused on advancing nursing practice and staff development.
A strong advocate for leadership development, Lindy is committed to creating opportunities for bedside nurses to grow in both formal and informal leadership roles. Her ability to recognize and support leadership potential is shaped by her diverse clinical experience and multifaceted understanding of hospital operations. This unique perspective allows her to identify staff needs, guide growth, and provide meaningful support across roles and settings.
